Closed Alpha — Tester Brief
If you've played Ark of War, you know the genre.
This is the game we wished it became.
Ashen Throne is a strategy MMO built around the part that matters —
building armies, forging alliances, and fighting for control of the last
great city and the Ashen Throne.
Two centuries after nuclear fire ended civilization, humanity clings to survival
in the irradiated wasteland. Settlements grew into fortified compounds, technology
became patchwork scrap, and a mysterious transmission — The Signal
— began reshaping those who listened. Now rival factions converge on the
Citadel, the last great city, each fighting to claim what’s left of the old world.
Focused on the core loop
Everything feeds the siege. Build, extract, train, fight —
no fashion systems, no daily login gacha, no bloat. The Citadel
is the endgame and every system serves it.
Pay to progress, not to win
Premium currency buys power — but it doesn’t gate,
and there are always strategic options through skill and effort.
A well-built army punches above its weight class.
Your loot is yours
High-value items are player-owned and tradeable. Rare
commanders, Tech Cores, crafted skill cards — what you earn
has real value because you control it.

Before you play — three essentials
Army formation and commander skills matter: equip up to 2 skill cards
to your commander, customizing it with many different synergies.
The right composition and build beats raw numbers every time.
The Frontier is safe. The Wastes are where you go to find loot
— and they’re dangerous. The Citadel is where your
alliance fights to be ruler.
If your Crawler is destroyed in the Wastes, you drop your haul.
Return to the Frontier to bank it.
