Terms of Service
Rules for using Ashen Throne, the website, alpha game client, and community reward systems.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ashen Throne, including ashenthr.one, play.ashenthr.one, the game client, alpha services, and related community features. By using Ashen Throne, you agree to these Terms.
Alpha status
Ashen Throne is in alpha. Features, game balance, accounts, currencies, rewards, progression, availability, and technical systems may change, break, reset, or be removed. We may wipe alpha progress, disable features, or adjust rewards when needed for testing, balance, security, or game integrity.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ashen Throne. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Ashen Throne only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not sell, rent, transfer, share, or use another player's account without permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, compromise game integrity, or create security risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, exploit bugs, automate gameplay, scrape private APIs, or bypass client/server restrictions.
- Use bots, macros, unauthorized scripts, emulators, packet manipulation, or other unfair automation.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, dox, or abuse other players.
- Post illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, abusive, or infringing content.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Ashen Throne systems.
- Use the service for fraud, spam, phishing, money laundering, or unlawful activity.
Game content and player content
Ashen Throne owns or licenses the game, artwork, code, characters, names, lore, interface, systems, and other content we provide. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Ashen Throne content except as allowed by us in writing or by applicable law.
If you submit usernames, chat messages, alliance names, profile text, support messages, or other content, you grant Ashen Throne a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, moderate, store, and use that content to operate and promote the game.
Virtual items and currency
Golden Ashes, resources, commanders, cosmetics, mail attachments, rewards, and other virtual items are limited licenses for use inside Ashen Throne. They do not represent real money, stored value, property ownership, or a right to payment from Ashen Throne unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
We may modify, rebalance, revoke, or remove virtual items and rewards to protect game integrity, correct errors, prevent abuse, or operate the alpha.
Community channel rewards
Community channel rewards are optional. If you choose to participate, you may be asked to open or connect a third-party platform account to verify a follow, subscription, or server membership. Rewards are granted according to the in-game rules shown at the time of participation and are generally limited to one reward per platform per player.
Unsupported platforms may use self-attestation instead of automated verification. OAuth-supported platforms may require you to authorize the relevant third-party provider. We may deny or reverse rewards if verification fails, if there is suspected abuse, or if the reward was created by an error.
Third-party services
Ashen Throne may link to or integrate with third-party services such as Google, YouTube, Discord, Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, payment providers, hosting providers, or community platforms. We do not control those services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Purchases and refunds
If paid features become available, pricing, payment methods, refund rules, taxes, and regional availability will be shown at purchase time. Unless required by law or expressly stated by us, purchases of virtual currency, digital items, or alpha access are final once delivered.
Feedback
If you send feedback, ideas, bug reports, suggestions, or design proposals, you allow Ashen Throne to use them without restriction or compensation. You are not required to send feedback, but alpha feedback helps us improve the game.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Ashen Throne at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other players or the service, abused rewards, or used the service unlawfully. You may stop using Ashen Throne at any time.
No warranty
Ashen Throne is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, and preservation of alpha progress.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ashen Throne will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost progress, account loss, or service interruption arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these Terms as Ashen Throne evolves. If changes are material, we will update the date above and may provide notice in-game, on the website, or through community channels. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
