  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Enter the server address above and click Add. If Claude offers authentication or OAuth client options, leave them exactly as it detected them.
  3. Sign in with your Ashen Throne account on the page that opens and press APPROVE. Then ask Claude anything about your account.

ChatGPT

Developer mode on Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise and Edu. One click for everyone once the app is listed in the ChatGPT directory.

  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and switch on Developer mode.
  2. Choose Create, name it Ashen Throne, enter the server address above, and pick OAuth.
  3. Sign in with your Ashen Throne account on the page that opens and press APPROVE. Enable the app in a conversation and ask away.

How does it work?

What your AI can do

Plan a runBefore it commits a soldier it simulates the site's real wave sequence against the troops you actually have free, carrying casualties from wave to wave the way the site does.
Set a squadPicks the commander, writes the recipe and loads it, clamped to the troops that are genuinely free and to that commander's leadership.
Deploy and recallMarches your squad to an extraction site, waits out the run and brings it home. Deploying pays the site's bill in Scrap, Fuel and Rations.
Move the CrawlerDrives to a tile you approve. If the path crosses into the Frontier it names the Wastes squads that come home before it asks.
Boost the CrawlerSpends a Temporal Catalyst to cut the remaining travel. It asks every time, and it never spends ASH or $ato.
Activate a commanderBrings a benched commander into an active slot. It never touches the Crawler defender.

Acting is a separate permission you approve by name when you connect, so a default connection can only read. Your AI never touches the Crawler defender, never leaves the Frontier unless you say so, and never spends ASH or $ato.

How does Ashen Throne connect to AI apps?

Ashen Throne uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that gives AI apps access to outside tools. Once connected, your ChatGPT or Claude can read your live account, your battles, the alliance roster, the Citadel siege, market prices and the rules archive, and it can play: move your Crawler, set a squad and run your extractions, all inside one conversation.

Which AI apps are supported?

ChatGPT and Claude. Claude works on the web, desktop and mobile on every plan, including Free (one custom connector), and in Claude Code. ChatGPT needs Developer mode on Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise or Edu until Ashen Throne is listed in the ChatGPT app directory.

What can my AI see?

Your own account only: base, resources with storage caps and rates, holdings, buildings, research, army and wounded, commanders and gear, every running timer with free-boost eligibility, recent battles, your alliance roster, the live Citadel siege, marketplace prices, and the game's rules archive. It reads the live game, so the numbers are current.

Can it play for me?

Yes. Your AI can activate a commander, build a squad, move and boost your Crawler, leave a city, and deploy and recall extraction squads. It plays through the same routes your own taps go through, so every rule you live under it lives under too: leadership caps, the deploy bill, transit locks, the Frontier recall and the daily extraction cap. It cannot queue orders to the server and it cannot do anything you could not do yourself.

What is it not allowed to do?

Anything that puts something at stake asks you first and tells you the cost before you answer. It never touches your Crawler defender, not the flag, not the squad, not the recipe. It never leaves the Frontier unless you say so, and if a move would recall your Wastes squads it names them before it asks. It never spends ASH or $ato and never buys anything. Acting is a separate permission you approve by name when you connect, so a default connection is read-only.

How do I watch it, and how do I stop it?

An AI ASSISTING chip appears in the game while a connected app can act, and it narrates each action as it happens. Press STOP on it and the next thing your AI tries is refused, mid task if need be. Resume from Profile, then Settings, then the Account tab, where you can also see every connected app and disconnect any of them.

Do I need an API key?

No. Add the server address in your AI app and sign in with your Ashen Throne account on the page that opens. Your AI never sees your password, and there are no keys to manage.

How does pricing work?

It costs nothing. Your AI app's own plan does the thinking; Ashen Throne only serves the data. Standard accounts get their own account data and the core rules with 100 reads and 60 actions a day; VIP Growth Status adds the full rules archive, the battle analysis tool, 400 reads and 200 actions a day, the same split as the in-game advisor.

How do I disconnect?

In the game, open Profile, then Settings, then the Account tab, and press REVOKE under Connected AI apps. Access ends immediately, including for a session that is still open.

Can I use it with my own agent setup?

Any MCP client that speaks OAuth can connect, and Claude Code is the supported way to do that: claude mcp add --transport http ashen-throne https://mcp.ashenthr.one/mcp. Directory listings are for ChatGPT and Claude.
